Refund policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. While we don't offer refunds or returns for change of mind or personal preference (such as taste), we will absolutely make it right if there is an issue with product quality.

When Can I Request a Return? If there's a problem with your order, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your delivery. We're happy to investigate and offer a solution if the product is faulty or doesn't meet the standard it should.

How to Request a Refund or Return To start the process, please email us at contact@kavasociety.nz or reply to your order confirmation. Let us know:

  • What the issue is
  • Your order number
  • A photo if helpful

We'll get back to you within 2 business days.

What Happens Next For quality issues, we may offer a remedy based on the information and/or evidence you provide. In some cases, we may request the product be returned for inspection or replacement. We cover return shipping costs for faulty products only.

If you received the wrong item or your order is missing items, we'll offer you the choice of:

  • Having the correct item shipped to you, or
  • A refund for the affected item (as cash refund or store credit - your choice)

Refund Timeline Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5 business days once approved. We'll notify you once the refund is processed.

Delivery Address & Collection Please double-check your delivery address before completing your order. We're unable to offer refunds for orders sent to incorrect addresses provided at checkout, or if you're unable to collect or accept your delivery. If uncollected items are returned to us in original condition, we may be able to offer a refund minus shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee. Alternatively, if you prefer to have the order reshipped, you can cover the additional shipping costs and no restocking fee will apply.

Your Rights Under NZ Law We comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. This means you're entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) if products are faulty, not of acceptable quality, or don't match their description. Please note that businesses aren't required to provide remedies for problems you were made aware of before purchase, or if you simply changed your mind.
