A blend of noble Vanuatu cultivars, balanced with a heady lean. It's where we point most new drinkers, and it makes a good benchmark: once you know how this one tastes and feels, the single cultivars are much easier to place. Plenty of long-time customers keep it in the cupboard for weeknights.
Character
Balanced and heady-leaning, clear and bright with gentle mellowness, more cerebral than heavy without being one-dimensional. The higher lateral ratio (40:60 compared to our single cultivars' natural 30:70) creates a more pronounced initial character. Potent yet approachable; as close to fresh island kava as instant gets. Blend composition may vary slightly by batch, but we maintain the balanced, classic Vanuatu character.
Taste & Aroma
Fresh and grassy with characteristic kava spice from the higher lateral content. Slightly peppery, smooth finish.
Instant Format
Traditional kava powder contains coarse, woody fibres that must be strained out before drinking. For our instant kava, freshly harvested roots are washed, peeled, and have these fibres carefully removed prior to drying and milling into an ultra-fine powder. This is why you can enjoy it without any straining or kneading, just mix with water.

Preparation
Mix 8g (one heaped teaspoon or one sachet) per cup with 200-250ml water. Start with two cups per session. Complete preparation guide.

It took a bit to get used to the flavour, but I could definitely feel the tension leave and replaced with a sense of ease.
Bought as a first try because 1 sachet = 1 serving......really enjoyed the calming buzz and ended up buying the bigger bag....great for evening relaxation and shutting off intrusive thoughts (and reliving arguments cos I'm a nutter like that !!)

As a beginner, this was the first kava I tried and now, years later this is the one I stay with! It took me until the end of my first bag to really perfect my dosage. It’s a good idea to build slowly, figure out what’s best for you. It can actually be pretty intense - I was surprised. My experience of kava has been a beautiful, mind clearing, happy vibe, perfect for the end of the week.
