One of Vanuatu's three most popular nakamal varieties, Palarasul is prized for its exceptionally smooth character and light, floral profile. Grown only on Espiritu Santo, nearly all of it is consumed locally by those who've appreciated it for generations. Palarasul was the first single cultivar we sourced from Vanuatu and remains our personal favourite.
Character: Uplifting and refreshing with a clean heady profile, moderate onset, and gentle mellowness. Despite its heady character, Palarasul is known for a sense of peacefulness that makes it uniquely versatile. Reliable and consistent regardless of growing conditions. Popular for socialising, creative work, or peaceful contemplation.
Taste & Aroma: Pleasantly floral, smooth and creamy, with notes of cashew, lemongrass and spice. Exceptionally smooth and light.
Instant Format: Traditional kava powder contains coarse, woody fibres that must be strained out before drinking. For our instant kava, freshly harvested roots are washed, peeled, and have these fibres carefully removed prior to drying and milling into an ultra-fine powder. This is why you can enjoy it without any straining or kneading—just mix with water.
