Sale price$45.00 USD

Santo's Finest: Exceptionally Smooth, Uplifting and Refreshing

One of Vanuatu's three most popular nakamal varieties, Palarasul is prized for its exceptionally smooth character and light, floral profile. Grown only on Espiritu Santo, nearly all of it is consumed locally by those who've appreciated it for generations.

Character: Uplifting and refreshing with a clean heady profile, moderate onset, and gentle mellowness. Despite its heady character, Palarasul is known for a sense of peacefulness that makes it uniquely versatile. Reliable and consistent regardless of growing conditions. Popular for socialising, creative work, or peaceful contemplation.

Taste & Aroma: Pleasantly floral, smooth and creamy, with notes of cashew, lemongrass and spice. Exceptionally smooth and light.

Traditional Grind Format: Peeled kava root ground into a medium-grind powder. Contains the root's indigestible fibres, so it needs to be kneaded and strained before drinking using a strainer bag.

Palarasul was the first single cultivar we sourced from Vanuatu and remains my personal favourite. It inspired us to build our entire fresh-processing system.
